Holly Brook Farm’s practices involve field rotation, fallow fields, no herbicides, and nitrogen fixing with alfalfa and clover. In addition, different seasonal grasses, both perennial and annual, are planted to organically enrich the soil as well as to feed animals. You might be amused to know about examples of Fall grasses that animals graze; they include brassicas (turnips, rape), grains (oats, barley), and clovers. Animals eat what we eat!
